Commedia dell'Arte Masks

Each leather mask is made by hand and, as each piece of leather is different, each mask will have its own individual character and will have slight differences. Each mask is signed and numbered.

My leather techniques were developed on my own independently and by exchanging tricks and techniques with some of the finest leather artists and craftsperson around the world.

Many Commedia dell'Arte leather masks that you may see by other mask makers have a large seam. Either single or double seam going down, under the nose or from the tip of the nose through the lip. My masks have no seam except one mask does have a partial seam and you will not notice the seam unless you look very, very carefully.

My masks take longer to make this way and the leather quality must be high in order to get the leather to stretch as far as I do, but I feel it makes for a better mask.

	There are many types of Arlecchino masks, Carlo Mazzone-Clementi likes the round eye Arlecchino because of it's innocence. This mask both fits both males and females equally well.
Arlecchino #1 or Harlequin, Arlequin, Harlekin,Truffaldino $300 Back to the Top
	This is a different type of Arlecchino. Arlecchino changed over the period from the early 1500's to the late 1600's. This mask will fit both males and females, but fits males better.

	This Arlecchino mask fits males and females.
Female Arlecchino or Arlecchinette $190 Back to the Top
	This is a Female Arlecchino or Arlecchinette. It has also been used as Columbina. This mask fits females and is not recommended for males.

	This Brighella was made with the guidance of Carlo Mazzone-Clementi. Carlo considered his character Breghella. Fits Males better than females.

	Brighella or Scaramouche. This was one of my first masks and is many peoples favorite in leather. This fits males and females well. Excellent for singing in because of the nose is not blocked by anything.

	This was designed as a Female Commedia dell'Arte Servant character. It is also excellent for singing as the nostrils of the nose are free. Originally designed for the New York Baroque Dance Company

Capitano #1 $500 Back to the Top	This Capitano mask was made with the guidance of Carlo Mazzone-Clementi. Carlo's thumb adjusted the end of Capitano's nose while I was sculpting him. This mask fits males better than females.
